Our 2006-2007 Season: Mainstage

written by William Inge

Opening Night: January 12, 2007

Closing Night: January 27, 2007

A powerful snow storm isolates a handful of bus passengers in a roadside diner in middle
America. With all roads blocked, the weary travelers spend a long night waiting out the storm
until morning. A young nightclub singer is the center of attention as she is pursued by an
adoring cowboy who wishes to whisk her off to Montana as his bride. Add in a cast of
interesting characters (including the bus driver and the owner of the diner, who find time to
develop a relationship of their own) and you have recipe for a humorous, touching and
stimulating American play. Winner of four 1956 Tony Awards
